Police are seeking tips from the public following a string of armed robberies in mid-Michigan.

A cash-advance shop in Mount Pleasant was robbed about 2 p.m. Monday.
Police say the suspect threatened an employee of the business with a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. They believe the man also is responsible for several weekend holdups.

The Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant and WSGW-AM report another robbery late Sunday night at a Subway restaurant in the city.

No injuries have been reported. Other area businesses that have been robbed include a grocery store and another cash-advance outlet.

Police in Mount Pleasant are urging anyone who spots the suspect to call 911. And campus police at Central Michigan University are warning the public.
