Nearly $4,000,000 raised at Auto Show Charity Preview
Contributions up 30 percent from 2012
More than 3.9-million dollars were raised during the 2013 North American International Auto Show Charity Preview at Detroit's Cobo Hall Friday night.
13,069 people attended the event raising $3,920,700 for 9 children's charities. This year's total is a 30 percent increase from last year and the highest amount since 2008.
The auto show's glitzy event provides funding for organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan, Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation and the March of Dimes.
