MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -

Smokers in Macomb County may soon need to think twice about where they light up.

The Macomb County Board of Commissioners' Health and Human Services Committee is recommending a county ordinance that would prohibit smoking within 100 feet of entryways at county buildings and courts.

If passed, smokers would also be banned from smoking near windows capable of being opened and air intake systems.

Commissioner Michael Boyle says he expects the ordinance to pass when it goes in front of the full board on Thursday.
