The Michigan Daily reports the chapter was suspended effective March 15.
Tom Fox, executive director with Psi Upsilon's international office, says a young man was taken to a hospital after a March 14 party. Fox visited Ann Arbor on March 17 to 18 and is investigating. Fox says it's unclear whether hazing was involved.

University spokesman Rick Fitzgerald says the fraternity also was expelled from Interfraternity Council, the governing institution for fraternities. He says the fraternity could try to rejoin, but that usually follows a change in leadership and reforms.
The council says the chapter was expelled Wednesday for "recurring safety violations and poor risk-management."
