Patient assaulted at Warren psychiatric care facility
80-year-old patient beaten by fellow patient at Behavioral Center of Michigan

A patient assault was reported at a psychiatric care facility in Warren.
The assault occurred Sunday at the Behavioral Center of Michigan, a 42-bed psychiatric facility located off of 12 Mile and Ryan roads.
Police say an 80-year-old patient from Chesterfield was attacked and beaten by fellow patient, Jajuan Whitlow, 23, from Canton.
The victim is in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
Whitlow was charged with assault with intent to commit murder and was arraigned with a $500,000 cash bond.
