ROSEVILLE, Mich. -

Some residents of a Roseville neighborhood have been shocked to find a man staring in their windows.

The peeper has been spotted in a neighborhood near 12 Mile and Groesbeck Roads, lurking in bushes and looking at women through windows.

Josh Leo said he awoke one recent morning to hear his mother screaming.

"She just came running into the bedroom for my dad, trying to wake him up, and she was just screaming and that woke me up right away thinking someone was in the house, and my mom was freaking out saying the guy was just looking at her," Leo said.

Larry Hines is a neighborhood resident who told Local 4 Defenders he is ready for whatever might happen.

"I got my gun cocked and ready at my door, ready for some guy to come peeping in my place. It makes me feel uneasy," Hines said.

Roseville police said they will step up patrols in the area.  Residents said the peeper usually comes out in the morning hours. Police are talking with people in the neighborhood to develop a description of the man they are looking for,
