Authorities say a 48-year-old Michigan man faces theft charges after trying to steal four frozen dinners from a Bay County grocery store, fighting with security guards and later walking out of a hospital while still connected to intravenous bag.
Mlive.com reports Friday that David Cromwell was charged Thursday with one count of unarmed robbery stemming from the Sept. 7 incident in Bangor Township.
It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer.
Michigan State Police say security guards saw Cromwell put the dinners and a trail mix bag in his shirt.
They tried to stop him and a scuffle ensued.
Troopers say Cromwell told him after they arrived that he suffers from a medical condition.
An ambulance took him to a hospital and he walked out hours later.
