MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -

Police say a woman is safe after reportedly being abducted at gunpoint by a man in a parking lot at Central Michigan University and then driven away in her SUV.

Campus police say the abduction is believed to have happened about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday outside the Student Activity Center in Mount Pleasant and was reported about an hour later. Police say they were about 4 miles south of campus when she escaped.

Police say the woman sought help at a home. She's reportedly ok.

Police announced Thursday morning that they'd found the vehicle and the suspect was no longer at large.

WSGW-AM reports additional details weren't immediately released. Police at the mid-Michigan school say they're continuing to investigate.
