Police chase after smash-and-grab robbery ends in crash on I-94 in Detroit

A police chasing following a smash-and-grab robbery in Warren ended early Thursday on I-94 in Detroit.

Police said the suspects crashed a white van into the CVS Pharmacy at 9 Mile and Schoenherr and ripped out the ATM.

The suspects almost ran over an officer in their escape and lead police on a chase into Detroit.

They crashed into a guardrail on I-94 right over I-75.

Six men were arrested.

This is the second time in almost a week that thieves have targeted an ATM in a CVS.

Last Friday, thieves smashed a white van into a CVS at East Warren and Mack. They caused damage to the building, but didn't get away with the ATM.
