DETROIT -

State police say a 22-year-old man who escaped from a minimum security facility in Tuscola County has been arrested in Detroit.

Police tell WSGW-AM and WEYI-TV that Thomas Howard was arrested on Wednesday. They say he fled Monday night from a correctional facility in Caro, about 80 miles north of Detroit.

Howard is a parolee with two controlled substances convictions. Police say he was found at a home with his girlfriend. Tips had been sought from the public after the escape.
