ROSEVILLE, Mich. -

Police are searching for the man who robbed a Rite Aid in Roseville, by threatening the clerk with a can of Mace.

Just before 5 a.m. a man walked into the store on Gratiot and selected a tube of toothpaste for purchase.

He walked to the register and then presented a note to the clerk while holding up a canister of Mace.

The suspect told the clerk to give him money from the register, or "I will hurt you."

The clerk gave the man cash in a shopping bag and the suspect fled the store.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40's. He was approximately 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, with a beard.

He was wearing a gray and black ski jacket with a black hood; the jacket is believed to say "ZeroXposur" on the right chest and on the left sleeve.

Police say the same man may be involved in a similar incident in Warren.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Roseville Criminal Investigation Bureau at 586-775-2100, extension 8.

Rite Aid is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
