Police are searching for the man who robbed a Flagstar Bank on 9 Mile Road and Harper Avenue Wednesday.
Investigators say a man wearing a green hoodie, tan pants and a bandage on his left index finger walked past the bank ATM around 2:09 p.m.
He next walked into the bank and then walked back out at 2:12 p.m. Five minuets later, the man walked back in and approached a teller.
He gave the teller a note saying he had a pistol, said St. Clair Shores Police Detective Margaret Eidt.
According to police, the teller told the suspect she was "too busy to wait on him and he had to wait his turn". The robber persisted and was given an undisclosed amount of money.
The branch manger approached the suspect and started talking to him before he ran out with the money.
He was seen driving away in a late 1990s, or early 2000s, Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix.
The suspect is described as white male around 28 to 35 years of age. He was between 6-foot-1-inch and 6-foot-3 and had red hair with a red goatee and mustache.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call St. Clair Shores Police at 586-445-5305.
