Police warn of military magazine scammer in Macomb County

Girl running scam says she is affiliated with Fraser Public Schools

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Fraser Public Schools officials are warning residents about a fraudulent magazine fundraiser.

Clinton Township police say someone snapped a picture of a girl who claiming to be a member of the Fraser softball tea. The girl said she was going door-to-door selling magazine subscriptions. She claimed the magazines would go to soldiers overseas.

The girl even produced a list of soldier names who would get the magazines. However, the school district said the girl is in no way affiliated with the Fraser Public Schools.
