A man connected to the overdose death of a Birmingham woman last summer was in court Friday.
Richard Babbie, 38, is facing a charge of delivery of heroin causing death.
Babbie is accused of supplying heroin and helping 37-year-old Tawnya Jarvis administer the shot in her apartment in June 2012.
After taking the drug, Jarvis became unresponsive and was was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
At Friday's court hearing, Babbie’s preliminary exam was set for Jan. 31.
