Retired Farmington priest accused of sexual misconduct with minors
Father Loren O'Dea placed on administrative leave amid allegations of sexual misconduct with minors
A retired Detroit-area Catholic priest has been placed on administrative leave amid accusations of sexual misconduct with minors.
Father Loren O'Dea, 83, retired to the status of senior priest in 1997 after he served as associate pastor at Our Lady of Sorrows church in Farmington.
O'Dea did not become a priest until he was in his 60s. The allegations involved actions before O'Dea was ordained.
He is restricted from any public ministry. Oakland County prosecutors are investigating the allegations.
