ROSEVILLE, Mich. -

A 33-year-old man was found shot Thursday morning in the driveway of his Roseville home.

Police said the man was shot once in the chest just after 6 a.m. in the 26000 block of Lehner Street, which is near Groesbeck Highway and I-696.

He's in stable condition at a nearby hospital.

Police said the victim's wife told them he had gone out to move his vehicle from the driveway when she heard shots. When she went out to see what had happened, she found her husband had been shot.

Neighbors Local 4 talked with said the incident has frightened everyone in the area.

Amy Eastep said she was leaving for work when she saw police out counting bullet casings on her street.

"It's scary, really scary," she said. "The neighborhood here is really quiet and nice. All the neighbors here, if you need anything, they will help you."

Next-door neighbor Quentin Coleman said he knows the victim and said he was a nice guy. He said he did what he could to help.

"I got up, I got dressed, I came out here and he was laying on the ground," Coleman said. "I helped him put pressure on it."

No one has been arrested.
