Two people arrested in connection with the murder of an 80-year-old Royal Oak woman are being held for questioning.
They have not been charged in connection with the murder of Nancy Dailey, but they each have criminal records for prior convictions and are parole absconders.
Wood has convictions for home invasion and breaking and entering. Watson has convictions for escaping from a felony jail sentence and receiving and concealing stolen property.
The two were taken into custody Tuesday in Canton Township.
Dailey was found dead in her home on Trafford, which is just off Woodward Avenue near 13 Mile Road, Sunday evening.
Police said her hands were bound behind her back and her throat was cut.
Investigators had been combing three different Royal Oak motels. A manager of one of those motels said police had come looking for information on two people who had tried to check in Sunday night. The manager said he did not let the two stay because they had been acting strange, appeared homeless and exhibited erratic behavior.
