The continuing search for a missing Troy father is focusing on areas near Montrose Township in Genesee County.
Police say they believe 55-year-old Patrick Mikes Sr. was killed in his basement in Troy. His sons said he left on his bike July 27 when they reported him missing two days later. A body hasn't been found.
Twenty-one-year-old Patrick Mikes Jr. had earlier been charged with using credit cards belonging to his 16-year-old brother. Police say he was arrested again Wednesday and is expected to appear Thursday in court to face an open murder charge in connection with his father’s disappearance.

Police say they have DNA blood evidence linking him in the case.
"Investigators are attempting to reconstruct a timeline of Patrick Mikes Jr.'s whereabouts from Friday, July 27 to Sunday morning, July 29 in order to assist in the recovery of the body," Troy police said in a statement last week.
Officers from Southfield, Roseville, Madison Heights and Michigan State Police are all helping in the search. They are fanning out into wooded areas along Vienna Road.
