Crews have resumed their search for two people who may have drowned in Belleville Lake.

Details are unclear, but the Van Buren Township Fire Department tells Local 4 someone reported two swimmers went missing near Van Buren Park Saturday evening.

Search crews looked for the missing swimmers until sundown, and then ended their search efforts until the morning. A dive team is now in the water and carrying out grid searches, according to Van Buren Township Fire Chief Dan Besson.
