Sex offender arrested in Pontiac

A convicted sex offender has been taken into custody by the Oakland County Sheriff Department for having sex with a 13-year-old girl from Pontiac.

The girl's mother notified the sheriff's department after learning her daughter had sex with the man several times with the last incident happening a month ago.

The Pontiac man had warrants for probation violations including a sex offender registration violation.

Deputies located the man at his home and they took him into custody. Their investigation continues.
