Take Our Survey:
Woodward Light Rail is being developed by the Detroit Department of Transportation along the Woodward Corridor. The first phase would cover 3.4 miles between downtown and Grand Boulevard in the New Center business district. Funding would come from federal stimulus dollars.
A private group has arranged for about $125 million in private funding for the rail line, which eventually could cover the 9.3 miles from the Detroit River to the city's northern limits.
