DETROIT -

No witnesses have come forward to help Detroit police find two young black men who killed 57-year-old Sharlene Anderson outside the Parkside Liquor store at East Warren Avenue and Maynard Street.

The woman's family believes someone must know something but is not coming forward. She was shot twice outside the store. The family says the men were merciless, shooting her in the head.

"I understand the code of the street and all that nonsense people go through, but this was a grandmother, 57 years old. If you know anything, just call in," said Jimmie Johnson, her nephew.

Anderson had three daughters and 10 grandchildren. Neighbors at her apartment complex called her mom or auntie. She worked at keeping her family close together.

Now, that family is united in grief four months after Anderson's murder. There still isn't any closure for them.

"She didn't deserve this. My family didn't deserve this. You didn't only just take my momma, you took my heart, my backbone, my soul," said Laquahela Anderson, her daughter.

The family hopes someone will provide the tip to break the case.

Anonymous tips can be called into Crime Stoppers and 800-SPEAK-UP. A $2,500 reward is being offered to anyone with information which leads to an arrest.

If that tip is received before 12 a.m. Friday, the reward will be increased to $3,500.
