DETROIT -

Comerica Bank and a Detroit business promotion group have given a Spanish restaurant and wine bar the 2012 Comerica Hatch Detroit award.

Hatch Detroit said Thursday that the $50,000 prize goes to La Feria. Online voting determined the winner.

The group says the restaurant will serve wine and Spanish tapas and will open in 2013 in Detroit's Midtown area. It will seat 35, with plans for a patio that will add seating for 16.

Besides the cash prize from Comerica, La Feria also will get some in-kind services. They include environmental assessment services from PM Environmental; interior design guidance from Andrea Leigh Davis; legal services from Honigman, Miller, Schwartz and Cohn LLP; design and branding services from Team Detroit; and information technology services from Strategic Staffing Solutions.
