Spartan Stores recalls certain deli products

Products recalled because of possible health risks

Spartan Stores is voluntarily recalling certain deli products because of concerns over possible Listeria Monocytogenes contact.

Listeria monocytogenes can be fatal to people with weak immune systems, young children or the elderly. Symptoms can include: severe headache, nausea, stiffness, high fever, diarrhea and stomach pain.

The recalled deli products were distributed to several chains in Michigan.

Glen's
VG's
Independent supermarkets

The recall is just a precaution.  At this time, it has not been confirmed that any products came into contact with Listeria monocytogenes.
