A Spirit Airlines flight from Detroit to Tampa, Fla., has made an unscheduled landing at Knoxville's airport.

Airline spokeswoman Becky Huckaby told WATE-TV the landing was a precaution after the flight crew reported a problem. Spirit Airlines does not have service to McGhee Tyson Airport.

The plane, carrying 146 passengers, landed without incident early Monday and a crew was repairing the craft.
