Police say they confiscated several assault rifles from a vehicle after a state trooper was shot at during a car chase through a Detroit neighborhood.
State police say the trooper wasn't injured during Thursday night's chase on the city's northwest side, but his car was struck once.
Police say the chase happened after state police tried to stop a Chrysler 300 for a traffic violation and multiple rounds were fired from an assault rifle at the trooper's car. Investigators say four people in the car later fled on foot in the area of Grand River and Stout, and a 22-year-old man and 23-year-old woman from Detroit were caught.
Police say the two others were being sought Friday morning.
