Stormy end to Detroit's work week

Friday morning showers and thunderstorms affect Southeast Michigan

DETROIT, Mich. – Friday morning will be a rocky one for the Motor City.  Showers and thunderstorms will affect the morning commute.  Drivers will have to dodge puddles and kids will need to wade through them on the way to the bus stop.  Temperatures will be in the 60s with gusty winds.

Friday afternoon will have a chance of showers with highs near 75.  A cold front pushes through creating a cooler, drier evening as overnight lows go into the 50s.

Saturday and Sunday will be cooler and calmer.  Skies will be partly to mostly sunny with afternoon temps in the upper 60s and morning temps near 50.

Early next week will have a chance of showers returning with highs still in the 60s.
