Surveillance video exposes thieves who rob pharmacy in Rochester Hills

Police: Men got away with 2,000 prescription pills, mostly hydrocodone, Tylenol

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – Police say thieves used a crowbar to pry their way into a local pharmacy in Rochester Hills, getting away with 2,000 prescription pills.

Once inside the Wellpointe Medical building, police say they dashed to the pharmacy. One of the crooks in a blue hooded sweatshirt carried a large bag they stuffed with medicine.

Two minutes later, the men came running out, getting away with 2,000 prescription pills, mostly hydrocodone and Tylenol.

Leslie Weaver is a concerned customer.

"We don't need that on the streets," said Weaver. "We don't need any extra medicines on the streets."

Local 4 spoke with pharmacy officials who says customers' private information was not in jeopardy.

Because the men were masked, it's difficult to see the faces of the thieves well.  Police say the thieves left no evidence behind, which is why investigators are hoping anyone who sees this surveillance video, will recognize their clothing.

"I'd like to see them caught and brought to justice because that's just terrible," said Weaver.
