DETROIT -

Actors, actresses, models, singers and other entertainers are invited to show off their skills at The Hollywood Summit Motor City Talent Search.

The free event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 28 at the PV Lounge in downtown Detroit. It's open to all ages.

Event producer Royal Jackson has said "it's time for Detroit actors to stop being extras and begin taking the lead." He says his group is interested in people with raw talent seeking to jump into the entertainment field and those with training and prior experience.

Jackson is chief executive of Michigan-based Crown Creative Ventures and brother of actor Brandon T. Jackson. They are the sons of Bishop Wayne T. Jackson, pastor of Impact International Ministries in Detroit.
