Norovirus blamed for sickening about 80 people at Taylor sports complex

TAYLOR, Mich. -

The Taylor Sportsplex resumed activities Thursday after several hockey players became sick over the weekend.

Wayne County Health officials said they believed the norovirus caused about 80 people, including 28 amateur hockey players, to become violently sick on Sunday.

The sports facility was shut down for cleaning and disinfection.

Make-ups for missed games will be held Monday.
