DETROIT -

A triple shooting on Detroit's west side claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl.

The scene spans several city blocks. Witnesses say bullets started flying on the 4,000 block of Cicotte around 7 p.m. Saturday.

"We heard about 4 or 5 gun shots and then we heard more gun shots and everyone just stood looking," said Robert Benz, who tried to help the victims

Police say a black man with dreadlocks, wearing dark clothing walked out of this vacant house firing shots at the three people in a blue car.

That's when the driver hit the gas and drove a few blocks to Michigan and Martin for help.

"We saw a car come flying down Cicotte and flew up in here asking for help said that her and her sister got shot," said witness Jackie Groves.

The 23-year-old woman driving was shot. The 15-year-old girl in the passenger seat was dead. She'd been shot multiple times.

The second passenger, a 25-year-old man, was also shot and was found about block away.

A typically quite neighborhood is shaken.

"It's just really sad. Poor girl like that, she didn't deserve that, " said Benz.
