Police say headphones may have kept boy from hearing train

WYANDOTTE, Mich. – A 14-year-old Wyandotte boy is in critical, but stable condition at Children's Hospital after he was struck by a train Tuesday afternoon in Wyandotte.

Wyandotte police said Jacob Marion was wearing headphones while listening to his iPod and walking along the railroad tracks near Oak and 9th streets. The CN Railroad freight train blew its whistle several times to alert pedestrians, but police said the teen apparently did not hear the warnings.
