YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Washtenaw County Sheriff deputies responded to a serious injury car accident Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened in the area of Whittaker and Merritt roads in Ypsilanti Township.

Police found an 18-year-old driver dead on the scene. The victim's identity has yet to be released.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Police believe the deceased driver was speeding when the car crossed the center line and collided head on with the other car.
The accident is still being investigated.
