DETROIT -

Morning and midday showers are a welcomed sight for homeowners and farmers in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Drivers and campers will have to watch out for thunderstorms with downpours, gusty winds and lightning.  

Some towns may get up to a half inch of rain if they are lucky.  Pre-dawn temperatures will be in the middle and upper  60s. Afternoon highs will be near 85 degrees, which is close to average.

Thursday night may have a stray shower as temperatures fall to the middle and low 60s.

Friday will be warm and comfortable with sunshine and a high near 85 degrees.

The weekend will be warmer and mostly sunny.  Saturday and Sunday will have daytime temps approaching 90 degrees.
