Tigers tickets now on sale!
Tigers tickets, although more pricey, are still in high demand
Detroit Tigers began selling individual game tickets for the upcoming season Saturday morning.
Tickets will be available at the Comerica Park box office, by phone and online.
Those $5 tickets that fans so heavily relied on in the past several years are no longer available. The cheapest seat is now $12.
This year, there will be a three-tiered pricing system – value, regular and premium games. It all goes by how popular the opponents are and the time of the season. Fans will be limited to only four tickets per person for the home opener against the New York Yankees, April 5.
One-thousand fans were given a wristband on Friday. Those wristbands are numbered one through 1,000. At 8:15 a.m. Saturday, a random number will be selected. It will be the starting number for the line. All other fans will get their place in line in numerical order through 1,000. Then those who arrive after 8:45 a.m. will join the line.
