Toyota is helping homeless Detroit families stay warm this winter with a special gift
Toyota Motor Sales USA purchased 200 pairs of winter boots to go to families at the Salvation Army Denby Center for Children and Family Services in Detroit. The boots were purchased at Michigan based company Moosejaw.
The Denby Center offers shelter to people who have lost their homes through job loss, foreclosure, or domestic violence.
The Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/TTOmo7 ) says those getting boots Saturday included 9-year-old Kanizha Shabazz, who asked her mother if it was OK to thank God for blessing her.
