Troy transit center vote delayed

TROY, Mich. – City leaders in Troy have tabled voting on a $6 million proposed transit center within city limits.

The council was scheduled to vote on the federally funded transportation center Monday night, but removed it from the agenda.

The vote is being delayed because one councilmember is out of town on a family emergency.

The City Council in December voted down a proposed $8 million transit center after the city of Birmingham withdrew from the project.

Depending on when the councilmember can return to session, a vote could happen as early as this week.
