The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued an intoxicated man who fell off a breakwall and into the Detroit River on the city's east side.
The agency responded Monday to a report that a person was in the water near Mariner Park. A boat on patrol arrived soon after and a crew pulled the man out of the water.
The Coast Guard says the man was taken to its station on Belle Isle and then to a hospital. His name wasn't released. Information on his condition wasn't immediately available.
