University of Michigan reversed decision to keep marching band home for opening game after donors step up to help with expenses
The University of Michigan marching band will travel with the team for the teams first game of the season in Texas.
The Wolverines are set to play the Alabama Crimson Tide at Dallas Cowboys stadium.
The university had originally planned to leave the band at home due to what the university called extreme costs.
After public outcry from alumni, and coverage by the media, donors stepped up to help with the costs and the university reversed the decision.
The marching band will now be in the stands in Texas for the season opener.
