WARREN, Mich. – The Warren Mayor's Office says due to a power outage in the city's downtown area City Hall is closed as of 3:45 p.m. Monday.
Mayor Jim Fouts' office says the City Hall is operating on the backup generator.

DTE Energy says power is expected to be restored shortly.
When the power went out, a power surge caused problems at City Hall. Elevators, computers, lighting and the HVAC system were all affected, the Mayor's Office says.
The Civic Center Library also is without power.
