A new study looks at the prevalence of the Internet in our daily lives by looking at one minuet's time span online.

Listening to music, watching videos, searching for photos, playing games online, updating Twitter and responding to a friend’s status update – all produce network traffic.

Chipmaker Intel, tracked this activity and broke the figures down to one minute online.

Every 60 seconds online:

The study also looked at how online data could continue to grow dramatically in the coming years.

Intel predicts by 2015, the number of networked devices are expected to be double that of the world’s human population.

The study says it would take five years to watch all the video content crossing IP networks each second by then.
