Whole Foods plans to open its new store in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood this spring.
The Austin, Texas-based natural grocery store chain announced Friday it plans to open the 21,650-square-foot supermarket on June 5 with about 75 employees.
Whole Foods Market Inc. says details about job openings will be posted online April 2.
Whole Foods will help fill a grocery void in the area. Detroiters have long complained about not having enough places to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and produce.
A groundbreaking for the store was held last year.
