DETROIT -

Southeast Michigan will deal with cloudy skies and cold overnight with lows dropping into the low and middle teens.

The drop in temperature means some refreezing could make the sidewalks and side streets a little slick early Sunday. Most of the day ahead will be dry with cloudy skies and highs getting close to 30 degrees. By Sunday evening, things will be changing with snow coming in and dropping a quick inch or two followed by sleet and freezing rain into early Monday morning.

The timeline of what to expect starts with snow from 8 p.m. to midnight Sunday. After midnight, you can expect sleet and freezing rain until 5 or 6 a.m. Monday. That means the early commute will be icy! There are Winter Weather Advisories across Western Lower Michigan where more ice is likely through the early drive.  Hopefully by 6 or 7 a.m. we will be seeing mostly rain. Temperatures will rise Monday into the low 40s with light rain showers on and off.

We could hit 50 degrees Tuesday with drizzle and a rainy start to your Wednesday. But winter returns by late week. Check out all the changes on radar and temps in the 7-Day Forecast.
