Woman dies after hit and run accident
50-year-old Shelley Lynn Hackbarth hit by car while crossing 8 Mile road at Gratiot Avenue

A woman is dead after a deadly hit and run accident in Eastpointe.
Police say 50-year-old Shelley Lynn Hackbarth was hit about 10:15 p.m Tuesday.
According to police, she was crossing 8 Mile Road at Gratiot Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on 8 mile.
The vehicle did not stop and fled the accident. Hackbarth was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are looking for a silver or white Dodge Intrepid and are seeking witnesses to the accident and tips in the case.
