Woman who says she had affair with Detroit police chief will sue city
Angelica Robinson's attorney says client will sue city after learning of Chief Ralph Godbee's trip to San Diego with other woman
Angelica Robinson, the Detroit police officer who says she had an affair with Chief Ralph Godbee, will be suing the city of Detroit, her attorney says.
Robinson told Local 4 she had an affair with Godbee for more than a year. She was very upset to find out about his trip to San Diego with another woman who is not a Detroit Police Department employee.
Her attorney, David Robinson, said there are texts and calls that will prove the chief was unrelenting. Godbee is in the process of a divorce. Angelica Robinson also is married.
Details of Robinson's lawsuit and what she may be seeking are not yet known.
Detroit Mayor Dave Bing suspended Godbee for 30 days amid the allegations. He returned to Detroit Thursday from a police chiefs conference in San Diego.
