This was the second incident within the past week in which a donation jar benefiting the Children's Miracle Network was stolen from area Speedway gas stations. On Oct. 27, a report was filed with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office regarding a similar incident.

Stewart has ties to Livingston and Oakland Counties and a history of larceny. He may be responsible for other donation jar thefts in the Livingston and Wayne County areas. Video surveillance footage from both thefts has been reviewed and Stewart appears to be the thief in both cases.

Stewart will be lodged at Oakland County Jail pending further court appearance and charges from other jurisdictions.
