All 4 teens who escaped from Detroit treatment center in custody

DETROIT – All four teens who escaped from the Don Bosco Depaul Youth Treatment Center in Detroit have been taken into custody, according to authorities. The teens escaped on Aug. 27 when a security worker went to open the front door for visiting ministers to leave.

The teens fled the center in different directions on East Grand Boulevard in Detroit. Police said they had been convicted of "various crimes."

All four have been found in Detroit.

Michael Robinson was picked up in the area of Schaefer and 7 Mile Road on Sept. 1.

Keynata Saxton was found in the area of Van Dyke and 6 Mile Road on Sept. 2.

Authorities say Duana Stiff-Brown was taken into custody by Detroit police on Tuesday night. The final escapee, Devonte Kenny, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after he was found on Algonac Street.

"The Wayne County Department of Health, Veterans and Community Wellness has conducted an internal review which has concluded that our care management organizations did follow policy with respect to notifications to law enforcement, the court and the families of the escapees," a department spokesman said in a news release. "At this time the department is awaiting the completion of the findings of an investigation by the State Bureau of Children and Adult Licensing."
