DETROIT - A Dearborn man with an alleged habit of writing checks with insufficient funds is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on six felony counts for a series of scams throughout metro Detroit.
Three victims of alleged fraudulent activity were uncovered by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office after a nearly month-long investigation.
The county says the activity includes writing bad checks for the purchase of a vehicle in Ecorse, rent for a building in Wayne and possession of a stolen vehicle.
However, the county says police believe there are other cases that have not been reported.
According to Wayne County, the 26-year-old defendant, who is currently in the Wayne County Jail, had been on probation for criminal activity in Minnesota.
The arraignment is scheduled to take place Tuesday at 10 a.m.
