DETROIT -

An already-suspended Detroit police officer is in more trouble.

The department confirmed to Local 4 that the officer was arrested Sunday night on allegations of drunken driving and causing an accident on the city’s west side.

The officer was driving westbound on Plymouth Road and turned in front of a car that was going eastbound, the department said.

The officer was not hurt, but was arrested on a charge of operating while under the influence.

The other driver did complain of stomach pain and was taken to a hospital to be checked out.

The department has not yet released any more information on the officer.
