Ann Arbor police release sketch in attempted armed robbery

Woman, masked men attempt robbery Friday night on Richard Street

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Ann Arbor police on Monday released the sketch of a woman who they said played a part in an attempted armed robbery last week.

Police said the woman in the sketch knocked on the door of a home in the 3400 block of Richard Street Friday night and said she needed to use a phone because she had car trouble.

When the victim opened the door, a masked man with a handgun stormed into the house.

The masked man and the woman were scared away by other people who were in the home.

Nothing was taken and no one was hurt.

The woman is described as white, about 20 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall with blonde wavy shoulder-length hair. She had on heavy makeup and black pants.

Police didn't release a detailed description of the masked man.
